Compliance Reporting Training (Required)

Compliance Reporting is required and  recommended if you’re a new partner, have new personnel or as a refresher for existing agencies. Attend and learn about record keeping, reporting requirements and how to submit your monthly reports. Questions can be directed to your County Relationship Manager or Compliance Specialist.

eHarvest Training (Required)

*Virtual Training*

eHarvest training is required and recommended if you’re a new partner or have new personnel. Attend and learn how to order Food Bank products, schedule pick ups/delivery, and view important announcements. Questions can be directed to the CRT department: crt@acfb.org

Food Safety Training (Required)

Safely handling food is an important step in ensuring we provide nutritious, safe, and healthy food to neighbors. Per Feeding America guidelines, each partner agency is required to have one person on staff with a Safe Food Handler for Food Banking certification. If the certified person on staff is no longer with the organization, the partner agency is required to have a new person certified within 60 days.

We do recommend as best practice that the certification holder reviews the workbook annually to remain up to date on Food Safety. To obtain your Safe Food Handler certification, see below:

Self Training:

This option can be completed at your convenience. You will need approximately 2 hours to take the course and complete the certification test. 

To complete the self-training please follow these instructions:

  1. Download and print the Food Safety for Food Banking workbook here. You will follow along with the training video in the workbook and complete a quiz in the workbook at several intervals during the training.
  2. Go to the Food Bank Online Companion Instructional Video page here. You will need to enter your email address and this Instructional Video Key code below to view:
    • Copy and paste this key code: 91y1-G4q7-6840-2958
  3. Watch the instructional video and follow along in the workbook pausing the video to complete the quizzes in each section when asked.
  4. After completing the video training, click the link here to take the certification test. Important: If the test is not completed, you will not receive credit for completing the course. ONLY ONE PERSON WILL BE CERTIFIED PER AGENCY.

GNAP Training (Not Required)

*Virtual Training*

GNAP  training is not required.

They can be attended by:

1) Any new agency who has been a partner for 3 months & successfully completed their first Compliance monitoring visit

2) A non-compliant agency who was asked to attend by Compliance

3) Any eligible agency who meets the below criteria and wants a refresher

Participating GNAP agencies must meet the following criteria:

  • Food pantries serving households with children 17 and younger and/or 18 attending school. 
  • Child Care Centers
  • After School Programs
  • Group homes for children
Inside Partner Agency Learning Cohorts: A Panel Discussion (Virtual)

Join us for an introduction to the Partner Agency Learning Cohorts and discover how this collaborative learning experience helps agencies strengthen food access and community impact.

During this webinar, we’ll provide an overview of the cohort structure, goals, and benefits, including our two learning tracks: Capacity Building through Neighbor Centered Practices and Strategic Refresh. You’ll also hear directly from past participants in a panel discussion as they share their experiences, key takeaways, and how the program has supported their agency’s growth and impact.

Retail Training (Mandatory Annual Training)

Retail enabled agencies must attend this mandatory training to receive program updates and reminders.

All agencies are required to attend one of the available sessions:

  • Wednesday, May 13 @ 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 19 @ 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 21 @ 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

This year’s refreshed format includes valuable updates designed not only for agency staff, but also for your volunteers and drivers—so be sure to invite them to join as well. We’re excited to connect and to share important updates! See you there!

TEFAP Training (Not Required)

*Virtual Training*

TEFAP training is not required.

They can be attended by:

1) Any new agency who has been a partner for 3 months & successfully completed their first Compliance monitoring visit

2) A non-compliant agency who was asked to attend by Compliance

3) Any eligible agency who meets the below criteria and wants a refresher

Participating TEFAP agencies must meet the following criteria:

  • Food Pantries
  • Mobile Food Pantries
  • Community Kitchens
  • Emergency shelters with 3 days stay or less
